SPANISH EDUCATION OFFICE IN BELFAST

Directly linked to the Spanish Embassy Education Office in London the Language Officer in Belfast helps with the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language at all levels in Northern Ireland.

DIPLOMAS IN SPANISH

The office provides information and advice to students and teachers interested in preparing for the "Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera" (DELE) awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education through the Instituto Cervantes. The exam takes place in Belfast every year in November.

 

LINKS AND COURSES

The Spanish Education Office is responsible for promoting Spanish in Northern Ireland and is involved in setting up and strengthening all kinds of educational links and exchanges between Northern Ireland and Spain at regional as well as at school/college level. The adviser works in collaboration with the international officers of the five Education and Library Boards to organise in-service courses for teachers of Spanish and A Level students. The adviser is also available to visit schools and colleges for talks to students, Spanish promotion days and other activities.
